Jaap and Marianne Groot travelled from the Netherlands to Zimbabwe in an off-road car, for Stichting De Vlieger (De Vlieger Foundation). Wanting to see if the money the foundation received was used properly, but not eager to take the plane, they decided to travel by car. To make their journey possible, the workshop designed a unique inflatable Karsten Tent.
The tent was fixed on a roof rack and could be set up in seconds thanks the inflatable system – ideal for short stops. In addition to the roof tent, Karsten Tents made a special little square tent that could be attached to the backside of the car. This could be used as an awning for cooking under. All in all, Jaap and Marianne travelled about 30,000 kilometres.
