NEW: the Karsten Touring awning

You may know us for our high quality camping tents, but as of this week we extended our product range. At the Utrecht Camping Fair we will not be launching a new tent, but a caravan awning: the Karsten Touring. Especially made for caravan campers who appreciate a quality product from Dutch soil!

Tent poles

When we took the Karsten inflatable tent to the Dutch Camping fair in 1981, we were instantly famous. An inflatable tent? Made of the best materials? It turned out to be a hit. A new line of models followed in 2013: tunnel tents. Just as storm-proof and quick to pitch as the inflatable version, but with unique, pre-bent aluminium poles.

From sketch to awning

Now we’ve had exactly these pre-curved tent poles developed for the caravan awning. Because the calls from caravan campers asking for a Karsten product kept coming. So the family went to the drawing board early this year. They quietly sketched out the ideal caravan awning and just a few hours behind the sewing machine later, a prototype of the very first Karsten caravan awning arised. It was beautiful! And what’s more, it was set up in no time. Just like any Karsten tent. And of course it was made from the same materials as any other Karsten tent: good cotton, a sturdy tent pole and the highest quality yarns, zips and guy ropes. Perfect for the touring caravan camper who chooses quality. The Karsten Touring was a reality!

Details

You simply slide the Karsten Touring awning through the awning rails of the caravan. Then it is a matter of inserting 1 pre-bent (lightweight!) tent pole, zipping up the slots, tensioning and enjoying. Or not? Is the sun shining too much in your face? Or are you not able to relax because of that fresh breeze from the left? We’ve thought of something to solve these issuse: a set of side walls. Available with or without a window. They zip right in, on whichever side you like. Now that’s multifunctional! The awnings come in classic beige or modern grey, and are on sale from 609,- The side walls from 149,-.
