Building on the success of our 350 x 350 inflatable tent, the Karsten TOW is a tent that has proven itself as a faithful travelling companion to many a camper over the decades. It is made from 100% TenCate cotton, which has the breathable and durable qualities that Karsten is renowned for.

Building on the success of our 350 x 350 inflatable tent, the Karsten TOW is a tent that has proven itself as a faithful travelling companion to many a camper over the decades. It is made from 100% TenCate cotton, which has the breathable and durable qualities that Karsten is renowned for.
What makes the TOW Unique?
- Ease of assembly: There are no loose tent poles; the 4-bar air hose system can be pressurised within minutes using the supplied 230 V compressor.
- Breathable and durable: It is made from 100% TenCate cotton and is fitted with a tear- and wear-resistant, waterproof Bisonyl groundsheet.
- Luxury sleeping comfort: The fixed sleeping area is on a full-size slatted base and includes a generous mattress (210 x 160 cm). It includes a handy step for easy access.
- Colour choice: The TOW is available in all the familiar Karsten colours
- Optional children's tent: The TOW grows with you; simply zip on an extra sleeping area for the children

Rather than being stored in a separate tent bag, the TOW's tent is kept on a compact luggage trailer. This allows you to carry all your gear in an organised manner, leaving considerably more space in the car itself. You can even transport two bikes with you on the TOW.
Thanks to its clever design, your luggage remains easily accessible even when the tent is folded away. This is ideal for packing before departure or for a quick stop en route.
Once you're on the road, you'll soon notice just how compact the TOW is. It’s no wider than your car, and thanks to its low profile it stays well out of sight in the rear-view mirror. This makes for a familiar and relaxed drive, even over longer distances. Its lightweight chassis and balanced dimensions ensure it follows smoothly and stably without the need for extra wing mirrors.
Thanks to its low weight and braked Al-Ko chassis, you can tow it with a standard driving licence. The TOW can be towed by almost any car and, due to its low aerodynamic drag, is also ideal for electric and hybrid vehicles.

No more early mornings
Do you like sleeping in without the early morning sun? Then choose a dark-coloured version. This ensures it stays pleasantly dark inside for longer, so you can decide when your day begins.
Once pitched, you’ll immediately notice the difference. Thanks to the high-quality TenCate cotton, the tent breathes optimally, while the tub-shaped groundsheet forms a fully sealed unit. This keeps moisture and dirt out, ensuring your interior always feels fresh and dry.
It’s not just the floor that’s well designed; your night’s sleep is a priority too. In the TOW, you’ll enjoy a fixed, high-quality sleeping area on a full-size slatted base with a generous double mattress measuring 210 x 165 cm. This is ideal for those looking for extra support and luxury while camping.
Convenience at the campsite: inflate and you’re ready
Once you arrive at the campsite, simply unfold the tent and connect the supplied compressor. The pressure tubes are inflated to 4 bar, ensuring the tent has a sturdy structure that is as solid as a rock.
This tried-and-tested system has been around for decades and consists of two cross-placed tubes that give the tent its shape and stability. Within minutes, a spacious 3.5 x 3.5 metre tent is ready to use. Secure it properly with the supplied guy ropes and pegs, and let the fun begin!
One can easily extend the Karsten Tent with a link tent or a sleeping extension, for a wonderful night’s rest and even more space. A sleeping extension has a surface of six square metres and can accommodate 4 people. The extension comes with a partitioning wall which divides the sleeping space into two compartments. Each compartment has its own half-moon vent. The link tent is a smaller version of the larger tent and can be easily zipped to the tent with a tunnel section. This creates a new ‘bedroom’ or extra storage space, fully utilising the living space in the main tent.
