In classic beige, modern grey or tough anthracite
Pitching the Karsten Touring awning is a piece of cake. The secret? That lies in the clever pole system. The frame consists of just one pre-bent awning pole made of sturdy but lightweight aluminium. Simply insert the pole through the pole slot on the outside of the awning, which is fitted with a zip. Zip up the slot, insert the ridge pole, pull it and there you have it! And it won't go nowhere, whatever the weather. After all, we won't settle for less here!

Whether you are going away for a weekend or touring for several weeks, the Touring stands its ground. Ten Cate's carefully selected high-quality cotton withstands all weather conditions. And the aluminium frame may weigh almost nothing, but it is as strong as steel. We have been using this type of frame in our camping tents for decades, and they are known to be particularly storm-resistant. And that's a good thing, because when you finally go camping, it should be a worry-free camping holiday.
The Karsten Touring awning is matched to the horizontal part of the tendon rail. This makes it universally usable for both caravans and motorhomes with a tendon rail from 250 cm. We make the awning in widths of 250, 275, 300, 325, 350 and 400 cm. And because there is no accounting for taste, we make the awning in 3 colours: classic beige, modern grey and though antracite. The quality is the same, only the colour is different.

Multifunctional! That characterises the optional side walls of the Karsten Touring awning. Need some shade from the morning sun? Zip up the closed side wall and create a cool spot in front of your caravan. Enjoying that sun but the wind is a bit chilly? Then the side wall with the large window in it is ideal. This way you are nicely sheltered on the one hand, but still in contact with the outside. And when the midday sun hits your caravan? Then simply zip the closed side wall in on the other side of the awning. That way you are not attached to anything, while your awning goes nowhere. Nice and multifunctional.

Canvas composition
The canvas of the Touring is made of 100% Ten Cate cotton. Just like our Karsten tents. This is not just any cotton woven together, but cotton woven from twisted yarns. This means that each thread is reinforced by twisting an extra thread around it. The result is super-strong cotton! That can withstand all weather conditions. And that's fine.
